About me

My name is Manuel, I am 38 years old and I have been living abroad with my lovely wife in different countries for a couple of years now. It’s been quite a ride, ups and downs, and we are really happy and grateful for those opportunities. We are currently based in Kigali, Rwanda.

My career is not really what you'd call a linear trajectory. I graduated from university as a high school and middle school teacher. Shortly after, I forayed into the restaurant business, my biggest passion at that time. Together with one of my best friends, I opened the Veggie Bros, a vegetarian restaurant and catering service which I still co-own today. Over the years it become more and more clear to me that my purpose in life (I know, it's a big concept) is to support other human beings and to give back to those less fortunate. And since then I have dedicated my life to this purpose, both professionally as well as on a personal and voluntary basis.

I am licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Germany (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie) and a certified Hypnosis Therapist and Hypnosis Coach by the German Institute of Clinical Hypnosis. I have been constantly upgrading my knowledge and skills in life coaching, hypnosis and mental health counseling, and continue to do so.

A few years ago, I founded a small nonprofit called Give One Back that supports street children in Bangladesh and I currently act as the president of that organization. Since we work entirely voluntarily and unpaid, 100% of the donations reach the beneficiaries.
